Assassin's Creed was Ubisoft's most-anticipated, most-talked-about, and most-lauded title of 2007. To help promote its launch, we created three flights of banners: a buzz-building awareness series, a heavily targeted pre-order campaign, and a final set of rich media.

The centerpiece of the campaign was a rich media roadblock that showed Altair, the game's hero, leaping across and stabbing into page content. On expansion, the roadblock featured a media player loaded with trailers and imagery. Across placements, the roadblock averaged an impressive 71% interaction rate. Ultimately, Assassin's Creed sold over 1 million units in its first week on the shelves, making it the fastest-selling new video game franchise of the last five years.
